Katerina Vavlitou was born in 1943 in New York and now lives and works in Athens. From 1963 to 1969 she studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts with professor George Mavroidis. She also studied Decoration, Advertising and Scenography at the Laboratory of V. Vassiliadis and Ceramics at the Laboratory of G. Georgios.

Distinctions in Cyprus:
- Award of the GIANNAKI PAPADOURI foundation in the painting competition on “MANIERA CYPRIA”, TROODOS, NATURE AND PEOPLE.
