GEORGIA PARATHIRA
She was born in Athens in 1976.
She studied painting and preservation of paintings in Italy, at the Academy of Fine Arts “Aldo Galli”.
She worked in the field of art conservation, initially in Italy and later in Greece.
From 2010 she started dealing with papier mache and clay. She was taught construction techniques with paper and mixed materials at Dora Charalampaki’s studio.
From 2016 onwards, her interest is focused, almost exclusively, on Ceramics.
In clay she likes to work useful objects, objects that you touch, one after the other, as your daily life unfolds and they accompany you in your day.
Her work is characterized by bright colors, strong contrasts and a playful mood that give, in the end, her stigma.
